Robert Bobel

Robert Bobel provides strategic direction and product management for Quest’s Identity and Access management products. Bobel joined Quest with its acquisition of Aelita Software, where his responsibilities included customer and partner enablement for Active Directory, Exchange and Windows migration and management products. Bobel has consulted and trained customers and partners around the world on best practices in Active Directory management. Currently, Bobel's main area of focus is around the ActiveRoles platform that in 2009 surpassed 57 million licenses sold around the world.
Prior to joining Quest, Bobel taught Microsoft technologies at The Ohio State University and was an entrepreneur providing consulting to commercial and governmental organizations that were standardizing on Microsoft technologies. Bobel was among the first Windows 1.0 users and among the first to be Microsoft certified on Windows NT when it was launched in 1993, and shared this knowledge in a variety of Windows infrastructure and networking consulting projects.
Robert will be discussing the following:
- AD CMDLETS and where Quest is headed with them
- How Quest is integrating PowerShell into their products.
